JOB DESCRIPTION

1) Plan, direct and manage manufacturing and plant facilities operations to ensure timely manufacturing of products that meet or exceed specified cGMP quality standards at minimum cost
2) Drive performance improvement in the areas of manufacturing excellence and efficiency while ensuring that practices are consistent with the company's principles, compliant with dietary supplement cGMP requirements
3) Support the policies of manufacturing excellence, performance, safety, ethics, culture and efficiency
4) Oversee a direct team of 3, 2 department heads, manufacturing and facilities maintenance & sanitation as well as the formulation department
5) Work collaboratively with quality, supply chain, product development, marketing, sales, customer service and senior management to align operational capabilities with short and long term organizational needs
6) Lead both team and individual development within the areas of departmental responsibility
7) Direct and manage manufacturing, formulation and facilities, maintenance and sanitation operations at company to ensure full compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
8) Ensure the timely and cost effective manufacturing of dietary supplements at company
9) Develop, implement and maintain policies and processes that ensure the company's products consistently meet quality standards and maintain compliance with internal specifications and applicable current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs)
10) Provide leadership and support for tactical improvement of process, systems, methods, and tools to provide company with a sustainable competitive advantage in the production of dietary supplements
11) Provide leadership and support for the development of new products, processes, systems, SOPs and manufacturing methods
12) Provide leadership and support for the continual upgrading of manufacturing and maintenance organizations through effective recruiting, goal setting, employee communication and alignment, performance management and succession planning
13) Provide leadership and support to the organization as Chairman of the executive safety team
14) Manage and maintain the manufacturing forecast targeted for sales and inventory goals
15) Manage the bill of material, routings and Master Manufacturing Record (MMR) process
16) Manage and resolve product and process problems related to quality and manufacturing issues
17) Contribute to the generation and maintenance of SOPs and cGMP-compliant work instructions
18) Lead the manufacturing and maintenance budget process
19) Prepare, analyze and present data in both written and spreadsheet form
20) Maintain plant readiness and compliance with both external and internal regulations and participate in audits by outside agencies
21) Provide leadership and support to ensure a safe and safety conscious workplace
22) Maintain a clean, organized and safe working environment to ensure efficiency, employee safety and product integrity
23) Interact professionally with the public, vendors, peers and staff
24) Maintain effective working relationships and work in co-operation with management team to effectively meet departmental objectives
25) Demonstrate good judgment by reacting to unsafe acts or conditions by making them safe or reporting them to those who can correct them and documenting the correction
26) Maintain confidentiality at all times

CRITICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • 1) University degree is required (preference will be given to those with degree in relevant field, though all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply)
    2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)
    3) Recent experience in the pharmaceuticals industry is strongly preferred
    4) Preference will be given to people who have recent experience in manufacturing management
