JOB DESCRIPTION

Main Objective: The IT Regional Manager is the on site GIS leader for the ACI and ACT divisions of Arthrex. The position will also provide remote support for the Mexico and Brazil subsidiaries of Arthex. The position works closely with key business and GIS senior leadership to ensure that GIS appropriately supports key initiatives and enables new business capabilities. The position will manage a team serving as the main escalation point for IT issues and concerns. The IT Regional Manager will help develop Corporate GIS strategy and operating plans. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Manages and mentorship of regional GIS personnel Develops plans/roadmaps for key applications and infrastructure in coordination with corporate GIS Manages of regional IT concerns and issues with a sense of urgency Responsible for divisional adhearence to security and compliance policies Engages in corporate GIS processes to ensure consistency and quality Responsible for on time execution of local projects and adherence to deadlines Coordinate regional resources (business and GIS) for larger enterprise initiatives including ERP (SAP), CRM, MES, High Availability/Disaster Recovery and Network/Security Establishes SLA’s and metrics concerning teams performance Assists in long-term IT strategy, including investigation of new systems and planning of upgrades Assists in the preparation of budgets, ensures that projects meet cost targets Regularly solicits feedback on overall performance of GIS function Maintains high availability standards for network and critical system resources Enhances and maintain local disaster recovery and high availability plans, procedures, training and testing Assures that all infrastructure services, components, systems as well as installations/ implementations are aligned with and following the infrastructure standards provided by the global infrastructure department Assists in the development of Site Infrastructure architecture and design Analysis/controlling of site specific ticket report on a monthly basis and if necessary derive improvement measures Performs hands-on support, as needed and as qualified, for any/all Infrastructure systems. This includes, but is not limited to: End-user equipment, e.g. desktops, laptops, printers Servers and Storage (SAN, NAS) Network and Security systems, e.g. routers, switches, firewalls Education and Experience: 8+ years working in IT with a combination of infrastructure (Cisco, Microsoft) and applications experience (ERP preferred) 4+ years direct management/supervisory experience required Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field required, Masters in MIS/CIS preferred Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred (Medical Device Manufacturing experience preferred) Experience managing and working with contractors Experience with the following highly desirable: SAP and related ERP systems, Cisco networking hardware, Microsoft desktop and server environment, Cisco VOIP systems, Firewalls, Citrix Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training: Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation Strong project management skills (PMP certification a plus) Microsoft (MCSE, MCSA) and/or Cisco technical certifications are highly desirable Experience supporting an ERP environment is a must. Experience supporting an SAP environment is a plus Lean and Six Sigma Experience a plus Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills: PCs, servers, workstations, tablets and laptops. Microsoft, Oracle, SAP environment. Work with standard current computer applications, word processing, spreadsheets.
