JOB DESCRIPTION

Partial Job Description

1) Ensure required expertise is available to support company manufacturing operations

2) Oversee continuing education of staff to ensure proper level of expertise and proper discipline is maintained

3) Ensure adequate staff is available to support the company?s requirements

4) Initiate cost reduction and efficiency improvement programs that ensure product quality while developing maximum margin

5) Ensure efficient commissioning and verification practices are in place and remain current with industry best practices

6) Remain knowledgeable of all company?s manufacturing requirements

7) Monitor demands and compare to manufacturing capacities

8) Ensure availability of capital tooling through proper maintenance program, replacement and procurement of new tooling

9) Oversee capital equipment acquisition to ensure adequate in-house capability

10) Ensure PAT, automated monitoring and control systems are implemented based on cost and quality benefit through a life cycle approach

11) Participate in strategic planning sessions

12) Maintain knowledge of competitors and customers? wants

13) Stay current with manufacturing, engineering, commissioning and verification best practices

14) Provide manufacturing input to new product development

15) Provide expertise in manufacturing methods and processes

16) Provide cost-to-manufacture estimates

17) Anticipate tooling and manufacturing resources required for new products

18) Demonstrate knowledge of the company?s quality system with active involvement in implementing protocols for the commissioning and validation documentation

19) Communicate company/group plans, goals and strategic direction to subordinates

20) Oversee professional development of subordinates through personal coaching, continuing education, special assignments, etc.

21) Monitor performance and feedback through one-on-one performance review and daily contact

22) Set and administer standards to ensure fair, productive, efficient operation of department

  1) University Degree is required; preference will be given to those with degree in relevant field, though all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply

  
  

  2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory. No students or fresh graduates please
