JOB DESCRIPTION

This QC Inspector I position will support Packaging operations at the Arthrex manufacturing facility in Ave Maria, FL. This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus. If you are hired, you will be eligible for a $250.00 sign-on bonus (minus appropriate tax withholdings) paid after you complete your first 90 days and are an employee in good standing. Main Objective: Performs a variety of quality control test and inspection functions on materials, components and finished goods at various stages of the production process. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1.Performs and documents dimensional inspections on inventory parts using engineering prints, Inspection procedures or work instructions. 1.Selects products at specified stages in the production process, if applicable, and inspects products for variety of qualities, such as dimensions and functionality 2.Records data, applying statistical quality control procedures. 3.May perform, as needed, nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics 4.May specialize in particular area of quality control such as incoming material, process control, product evaluation, and final inspection. 5.Performs equipment calibrations under supervision and records results. 6.Usually requires and works under direct supervision. Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent required. At least one year of related experience required. Prior medical device manufacturing experience preferred. SAP experience a plus. Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training: Ability to interpret and understand engineering prints and the ability to use measuring tools and devices. Must have mechanical aptitude and be detail oriented. Inspects primarily IP level (1) Finished Goods. See MQ1 for specific skills mapped to this position. Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills: Measuring and test equipment, PC and spreadsheets. Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions as to the best course of action. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form. Mathematical Skills: Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements. Language and Communication Skills: Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management. Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
