These positions will be located at the Arthrex manufacturing facility in Ave Maria, FL. Main Objective: Ensure that throughput, workflow and production plan goals are accomplished by kitting work orders accurately and in a timely manner. Assist Kitting Department by conducting training, participating in process improvement and problem solving. Support programs, policies and procedures in order to help the growth of Arthrex Manufacturing, Inc. as a world-class medical device manufacturer. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Performs daily cleaning of the kitting area including work tables, chairs, equipment, fixtures, bins, tools, and other containers using alcohol to ensure that everything is clean and properly disinfected. Insures work station is organized and compliant with Area Clearance and Line Separation procedures. Assigns material retrieval/return instructions to Stock Clerks and Material Handlers assisting with Work Order preparation. Generates Bin Tags using Zebra printers ensuring information is accurate and complete. Verifies Bin Tag content printed by others prior to application to kitted materials. Labels all bins used for department Work In Process and for kitted materials prior to production use. Prepares, issues, and kits materials based upon the Work Order Pick List requirements according to Work Instructions and Departmental Guidelines ensuring continuous work flow and adherence to the Production schedule and expedite list. Ensures all forms and data inputs in the DHR (Device History Record) related to the Kitting process are complete and accurate. Determine that the issued materials match the BOM (Bill Of Material) required to manufacture the product. Issues materials to specific Work Orders via QAD and/or MES manually and/or using barcode scanners. Generates lot specific product packaging labels using Zebra printers according to the router and BOM ensuring labels are accurate and complete. Counts and issues materials and overages according to released work instructions. Completes fulfillment of additional material/label requests from in-process work orders in Production in an expedient manner ensuring QAD and/or MES is properly updated and the work order documentation is correct and complete. Responsible for accurately recording direct labor associated with specific Work Order preparation. Promptly notifies Kitting Lead and/or Kitting Supervisor of any physical inventory discrepancies, QAD errors or omissions, mislabeled components, missing components or other inventory anomalies. Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Six months of prior related kitting, packaging, or inventory/stocking experience is required. Previous experience or exposure to medical device manufacturing processes is desired. Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training: Individual must have the ability to interpret a BOM (Bill Of Material) and prepare materials as specified on the Material Pick List. Must accurately issue materials to Production work orders both on a physical Pick List and in QAD and/or MES. Must possess knowledge of basic warehousing concepts and an understanding of the importance of accurate inventory counts and identification. Ability to follow verbal instructions and work in a fast paced environment. Ability to assume responsibility and work autonomously or collaboratively in a professional and timely manner. Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills: Label dispensers, Zebra Thermal Transfer Printers, Label counters, weigh count scales, bag sealers, office printers/scanners, Intermec barcode scanners, laminar flow hoods, personal computers, vision inspection systems and software. Requires moderate computer knowledge for material issuance and inventory tracking and control. Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Mathematical Skills Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles using a calculator to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements. Language and Communication Skills: Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management. Ability to clearly and legibly write and record data and information as required by procedures.
