Our client, a leading life sciences company, is currently seeking an accomplished Associate Automation Engineer to join the team. Here is an overview of the role:

1) Develop and implement automation technologies to improve manufacturing efficiency and quality
2) Work on small to medium-sized engineering and capital improvement projects and other automation projects related to site automation activities
3) Coordinate with contract consultants when it is necessary to utilize them to supplement the APT engineering staff
4) Deliver high value automation projects to meet business requirements in terms of functionality, cost, quality and time
5) Design, document, develop, validate and maintain systems including PC, PLC, HMIs, SCADA, MES and other automation systems for manufacturing and packaging areas
6) Maintain compliance with all GxP and data integrity requirements
7) Develop maintenance SOPs for new and existing software systems
8) Prepare user requirement specifications (URS) or functional design specifications (FDS) for PLC, DCS, SCADA and MES systems and approve designs and execution plans
9) Develop best practices across the disciplines such as, Field Instrumentation, Process Automation, Data Acquisition, SCADA, Historians, Manufacturing Execution Systems and Enterprise Resource Planning
10) Collaborate with IT, Engineering, and Operations to deliver support to automation systems across the site


  • 1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field
    2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)
    3) Recent experience in the life sciences industry is strongly preferred
    4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in automation control
